1. Introduction
Aura Meet ("we", "our", or "us") is a free, on-device AI meeting assistant for iPhone. It is built so that we cannot access your data: there are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of ours that receive your meetings. This Privacy Policy explains what that means in practice.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- No account data: The app has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address, or password.
- No meeting content: Audio, transcripts, summaries, action items, insights, and Ask Aura conversations are created and stored only on your iPhone. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
- No payment data: Aura Meet is completely free. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases, so no payment information exists.
- No usage analytics: We do not track feature usage, meeting frequency, or app interaction patterns.
3. How Your Data Is Processed
- On-device transcription: Audio is transcribed locally on your iPhone using Apple's SpeechAnalyzer. Raw audio never leaves your device.
- On-device AI: Summaries, action items, insights, meeting scores, weekly digests, and Ask Aura responses are generated locally using Apple Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). No cloud AI service is involved.
- Long meetings: Longer recordings are processed in stages (map-reduce) — still entirely on your device.
Aura Meet requires an iPhone 15 Pro or later with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26), which is what makes fully local processing possible.
4. Crash Reports (Optional)
The only data that can ever leave your device is an optional, anonymous crash report, used solely to help us fix bugs:
- Processed by Sentry, our crash reporting service.
- Contains technical information only: device model, OS version, app version, and the error stack trace.
- Never contains meeting audio, transcripts, summaries, or any other meeting content.
- You can disable crash reporting at any time in the app's settings.
Sentry is the only third-party service Aura Meet uses.
5. Data Storage and Deletion
All app data lives exclusively on your iPhone, protected by your device's built-in encryption. You can delete individual meetings at any time from the History screen. Deleting the app from your iPhone permanently removes every piece of data it ever created — there is nothing to delete on our side. See aurameet.live/delete-account for details.
6. Your Rights
Because your data never reaches us, you exercise your rights directly on your device:
- Access your meetings at any time inside the app
- Export your meeting data (PDF, Markdown, calendar ICS, share sheet)
- Delete individual meetings, or delete the app to erase everything
- Opt out of anonymous crash reports in settings
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to hand over, correct, or erase.
7. Data Security
Your data is protected by iOS security: it is stored in the app's sandbox and encrypted at rest by your device. Since nothing is transmitted to any server, there is no data in transit to intercept.
8. Children's Privacy
Aura Meet is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
